Toyota Concept-i on Consumer Electronic Show


Toyota pulled the veil of a futuristic car Concept-i at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES), Las Vegas, United States, (04/01/2017). This vehicle becomes a representation standpoint of the company's mobility in the future.

Concept-i was designed at Toyota CALTY Design Research in California, in collaboration with Toyota Innovation Hub in San Francisco for the development of the latest technologies.

The basic idea behind this concept is to offer imaginative experience. Cars are already integrated with artificial intelligence system that has been able to know the needs of people, to improve everyday life.

Bob Carter, Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations Toyota says that the company is aware, the most important question today is not solely about future cars equipped with technology and automation.


"The experience of passengers associated with the vehicle is also important. There Concept-i and the power of artificial intelligence, we think that the future is a vehicle that can interact with someone, "said Bob.
Artificial Intelligence is at the heart of the cars of the future. This system is a kind of real lives, because the car will study the behavior and build a relationship with the car. An imagination that makes the car more meaningful and "humane".

Cars will offer driving methods and schedules, identify emotions motorists, studied it, and gave suggestions of places where the places that can be visited with the emotional level

The car also provides an option to motorists to drive manually or full autonomous. Car is ready to offer so many options to "do something", in order to improve driving safety.

Inside, you will be accompanied by an "agent" Artificial Intelligent named Yui. He will use light, sound, touch and even passenger occupants to communicate about the information that is critical.

Toyota avoid screen in the center console, but using light on the foot to indicate the driving mode or manual otonomos. There is a projector on the rear deck to show the blind spot.
